Non sono un uomo.

Non sono un animale, checché se ne dica.

Sono un’idea.

Sono il vuoto generato dalla scomparsa di un’idea.

Con la mia spirotromba palpo, frenetico, lo spazio attorno a me,

cercando gocce di vita;

Ne estraggo rari atomi salati

e polvere.

Mi agito, vortico,

frullo le ali squamose

anelando approvazioni.

E così, 

innegabilmente,

rompo i coglioni.

I am not a man.

I am not an animal, despite what they say.

I am an idea.

I am the void left behind when an idea dies.

With my proboscis, I grope — frantic — through the air around me,

scavenging for drops of life;

I draw out rare salty atoms

and dust.

I twitch, I spin,

I beat my scaly wings

craving acknowledgment.

And so,

inevitably,

I’m a bloody pain in the ass.
